MONTHLY OVERDOSE PREVENTION, RESPONSE & AFTERCARE TRAINING
about the TRAINING
MAAP hosts a monthly training on overdose prevention, response, and aftercare. Join us to learn about the basics of harm reduction (including safer use strategies and policies that save lives), examples of stigma-reducing language, the effects of opioids and naloxone on our bodies, and how to identify and respond to an overdose. We will also talk about the war on drugs and strategies to keep ourselves and each other safe!
Led by Rachel Bolton, MAAP's Program and Outreach Organizer, participants will leave with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to a person experiencing an opioid overdose - including how to use the naloxone (brand name Narcan), and considerations and safety planning around calling 911.

Summer and Fall 2024 trainings are being held on zoom on the last Monday of the Month: July 29, August 26, September 30, October 28, and November 25 from 5-6PM. Our last training of the year will be a week earlier than usual due to the winter holidays - on Monday December 16 from 5-6PM. You can register for a training using this registration form.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule a training at a time that works better for you, or for a group please reach out to Rachel at rbolton@maapma.org.
